The PUDU GT5 is a commercial autonomous robotic mower designed for the efficient maintenance of large lawns. With a 1,520 mm wide rotary mower deck, a mowing capacity of up to 8,000 m² per hour, and area coverage of up to 65,000 m² per full battery charge, the GT5 is aimed specifically at operators of large green spaces, facility management, companies, and professional landscaping services. Unlike a classic robotic mower, the GT5 does not just cut the grass; it simultaneously vacuums and collects grass clippings, leaves, and light lawn debris.
Professional robotic mower for areas up to 65,000 m²
For extensive outdoor areas, high area performance is the decisive factor. The PUDU GT5 was developed precisely for these requirements. According to the manufacturer, its 1.52-meter-wide rotary mower deck achieves a mowing capacity of up to 8,000 m² per hour. Operating times of approximately eight to ten hours are possible with the 26 kWh battery. A full charge allows for the maintenance of up to 65,000 m², or 6.5 hectares, under suitable operating conditions.
This makes the robotic mower for large areas suitable for large green spaces, parks, campus areas, and larger corporate premises, among other things. The maximum mowing speed is 11 km/h. Sloped lawn areas can also be included in operational planning: PUDU specifies a maximum mowing slope of 20° for the GT5.
Mowing, vacuuming, and collecting in one pass
A key feature of the PUDU GT5 is its integrated collection system for clippings. During rotary mowing, grass clippings, leaves, and light lawn debris are vacuumed and collected. This allows the GT5 to combine multiple work steps within one automated process. For areas where clippings or fallen leaves should not be left behind, this can reduce the effort required for subsequent maintenance work.
Once the collection container is full, the robot can independently drive to a defined emptying point. Afterward, it returns to the previously reached working point and continues the task. Especially in large areas, this automatic emptying supports continuous operation as much as possible.
Automatic mapping for professional green spaces
To set up a new site, the GT5 can independently explore the operating area and create a work map. PUDU also describes the option of defining target areas using online and satellite maps. This allows the setup of larger areas to be prepared in a structured manner.
Precise path guidance supports uniform processing of the lawn area. According to the manufacturer, the PUDU GT5 can mow up to approximately five centimeters from defined edges. This reduces unmown edge areas and allows large green spaces to be maintained efficiently.
Autonomous maintenance of multiple lawn areas
Large sites often do not consist of a single contiguous lawn. Paths, buildings, driveways, or other areas divide the terrain into several separate zones. The PUDU GT5 therefore supports autonomous multi-zone operation. Multiple lawn areas can be connected via previously mapped internal routes.
After completing a work area, the robot drives to the next zone independently. Once there, it automatically continues the scheduled task. This means the autonomous large-area robotic mower does not have to be manually relocated after every single lawn area.
This function is particularly relevant for corporate grounds, campus areas, parks, or large commercial outdoor facilities, as different green areas within a single site can be integrated into a common workflow.
360° environmental perception and obstacle detection
To perceive its surroundings, the GT5 combines all-around vision RGB cameras, RGB-D sensors, and LiDAR. The system can detect people, vehicles, and objects such as hoses or light poles, among other things. Depending on the detected situation, the robot can reduce its speed, navigate around an obstacle, or come to a stop.
Additionally, the GT5 has functions for identifying critical areas. Digital restricted zones can be defined during operational planning so that certain areas remain excluded from autonomous operation.
The combination of environmental sensing, automatic mapping, and autonomous navigation is particularly important for professional outdoor facilities where people, vehicles, or other objects may be present during operation.
Autonomous robotic mower for slopes and demanding terrain
Not every professional green space is completely flat. According to the manufacturer, the PUDU GT5 is designed for mowing work on slopes of up to 20°. This allows the robot to be used on more demanding lawn areas, provided the ground and local conditions are suitable for operation.
Before deployment, however, it should still be checked how the area is structured, what transitions exist between individual zones, and whether any special obstacles or hazard areas are present. Especially for large and complex outdoor facilities, individual planning of the operating area is advisable.
Robust construction for professional outdoor use
With a weight of 850 kg and an all-metal chassis, the PUDU GT5 is designed for commercial use. The IP66 protection rating supports operation under typical outdoor conditions and protects the corresponding components against dust and strong water jets.
The combination of high area performance, long operating time, automatic mapping, autonomous multi-zone operation, and integrated clippings collection makes the GT5 particularly attractive for companies that wish to automate recurring mowing tasks on large green areas.
PUDU GT5 for facility management, parks, and corporate grounds
The PUDU GT5 is particularly suitable for large professional outdoor areas that require regular mowing. These include, for example, park facilities, corporate grounds, campus areas, sprawling commercial properties, and professionally maintained green spaces.
Anyone looking for a professional robotic mower, a robotic mower for 50,000 m² or more, an autonomous large-area mower, or a solution for automated green space maintenance will find in the GT5 a system specifically developed for high area performance.
