The PUDU GT3 is a compact, autonomous outdoor robot for professional lawn and exterior area maintenance. Unlike a classic robotic lawnmower, it combines multiple work steps into one system: it mows grass, vacuums up clippings and leaves, and collects light garden waste directly while in operation. In addition, the GT3 features a road mode in which the mowing deck is deactivated, and side brushes and suction are used to clean paved outdoor areas. As such, the PUDU GT3 is aimed at companies, facility management service providers, and operators of large outdoor facilities who wish to further automate recurring maintenance tasks.
Autonomous lawn care for areas up to 20,000 m² per charge
With a cutting width of 914.4 mm and an adjustable cutting height of 26 to 114 mm, the PUDU GT3 is designed for the regular maintenance of larger lawns. According to the manufacturer, the 13 kWh battery allows for an operating time of approximately four to six hours and an area coverage of up to 20,000 m² (two hectares) on a single charge. This makes the commercial robotic mower particularly suitable for expansive green spaces, corporate grounds, campus areas, outdoor facilities, and other locations with regular mowing requirements.
The maximum mowing speed is 10 km/h. For energy supply, PUDU states a standard charging time of around four hours at 3 kW. An optional 6 kW fast-charging feature is available, which reduces the charging time to approximately two hours. This allows the GT3 to be integrated into planned maintenance and operational workflows.
Mowing, vacuuming, and collecting in one pass
A central strength of the PUDU GT3 is the combination of rotary mowing, suction, and collection functions. While the robot processes the lawn, grass clippings, leaves, and light waste are collected. This reduces additional work steps after mowing and distinguishes the GT3 from simple lawn robots that merely leave the clippings on the surface.
Once the collection container is full, the robot can automatically drive to a predefined emptying point. After emptying, it returns to the point of interruption and continues the task. Especially for larger or frequently maintained areas, this feature can reduce manual intervention during operation and make autonomous green space maintenance more predictable.
Outdoor robot for lawns and paved surfaces
The GT3 is not limited solely to mowing. PUDU provides a lawn mode and a road mode. In road mode, the blade remains deactivated. Instead, side brushes and a suction opening pick up leaves, light waste, and dirt on paved areas. This allows the same outdoor robot to service both green spaces and suitable paths or other paved outdoor areas.
For sites with different types of surfaces, this combination is particularly relevant. Instead of treating lawn care and light exterior cleaning as completely separate tasks, several recurring duties can be covered with one system. The GT3 is therefore particularly interesting for areas where lawns, paths, and multiple separate maintenance zones intersect.
Autonomous mapping and multi-zone operation
For autonomous operation, the PUDU GT3 scans its environment and creates a digital work map. According to PUDU, circling the area once is sufficient for map creation. During this process, the system can identify boundaries between lawns and paved surfaces. The saved map can then be further edited, for example, by defining no-go zones and transit areas.
Separate lawn areas can also be connected into one continuous task. Upon completing a zone, the GT3 independently drives via previously authorized routes to the next work area. This is particularly relevant for larger corporate sites, campus grounds, or complex outdoor facilities, as the robot does not need to be manually moved after each completed area.
Intelligent obstacle detection for dynamic outdoor environments
The PUDU GT3 combines visual perception with LiDAR. According to the manufacturer, this allows the system to detect people, vehicles, animals, fixed objects, and unknown obstacles. Depending on the situation, the robot can reduce its speed, stop, or navigate around the obstacle.
For professional use, the GT3 also possesses several safety features. These include an emergency stop, blade locking, and lift and tilt sensors. The IP66 protection rating protects the device against dust and powerful water jets, supporting its intended use in outdoor environments.
PUDU GT3 for facility management, companies, and professional outdoor facilities
The PUDU GT3 is particularly relevant where large or distributed lawn areas require regular maintenance and additional paved outdoor areas are present. Typical deployment scenarios include corporate grounds, large real estate sites, campus areas, commercial green spaces, and locations with multiple separate lawn areas. Through the combination of mowing, collecting, cleaning, automatic emptying, and multi-zone operation, the GT3 is geared toward recurring professional maintenance tasks.
Anyone looking for a professional robotic mower for large areas, a commercial lawn robot, or an autonomous solution for green space maintenance will find in the GT3 a system that goes beyond mere mowing. However, its precise suitability always depends on the surface, substrate, paths, obstacles, maintenance goals, and the operational procedures at the respective site.
