Robotics meets fitness, therapy, and health: Terra Robotics was represented at fithera 2026 in Offenbach on September 17 and 18. At our booth in Hall A2, trade visitors were able to experience modern robotics live – from the humanoid Unitree G1 to intelligent service and assistance solutions.

fithera is specifically aimed at owners, managing directors, and executives in the fitness, therapy, and health industry. According to the organizers, around 1,500 trade visitors, 105 exhibitors, and 55 speakers gathered on five stages in 2026. Fithera

For Terra Robotics, the event provided the perfect setting to discuss a key question: How can robotics truly provide meaningful support to employees in fitness, therapy, and health facilities?

At our booth A2-06-1 in Hall A2, visitors were able to get to know various robotics solutions directly and learn about concrete application possibilities. The official fithera event schedule also listed Terra Connect or Terra Robotics at this location. Fithera

A special eye-catcher was our humanoid Unitree G1, which greeted visitors directly at the booth.

The Unitree G1 impressively shows how far humanoid robotics has already advanced. At the same time, we do not focus on the pure demonstration of new technology.

The decisive factor is the question of where robotics can create real operational value.

Especially in industries with high levels of customer interaction, recurring tasks, and limited personnel resources, interesting application possibilities arise.

Humanoid robotics: Employees 2.0?

Humanoid robotics also played a role in the official fithera program.

Tobias Claus, Global Solutions Manager at Terra Robotics, was announced as a speaker on the Main Stage. The focus was on how the interaction between humans and machines can look in the future and whether humanoid robots will actually become "employees 2.0." Fithera

The crucial perspective here: Robotics should not be evaluated based on how spectacular a demonstration looks.

It must prove itself in the real day-to-day work environment.

This means, among other things:

  • Relieving employees of recurring tasks
  • Reducing time-consuming walking and transport routes
  • Making processes more reliable and predictable
  • Meaningfully supplementing service offerings
  • Supporting existing teams instead of creating additional complexity

Exactly this connection between people and technology will be decisive for further development.

Cleaning robotics for gyms

A particularly concrete area of application within the fitness industry is autonomous floor cleaning.

Gyms often have large and heavily used areas. Cardio zones, free-weight areas, course rooms, entrances, and walkways must be cleaned regularly.

At the same time, cleaning teams often only have limited time windows available.

Modern cleaning robots for gyms can work on suitable surfaces independently and take over recurring cleaning tasks.

Typical areas of use are:

  • Cardio areas
  • Strength and training areas
  • Course rooms
  • Entrance areas
  • Hallways and walkways
  • Suitable changing areas

Terra Robotics already describes autonomous floor cleaning as a concrete use case for fitness studios and gym operators. Terra-Robotics

The advantage is not exclusively in saved working time. Cleaning can be carried out in a more planned manner, while employees gain more capacity for tasks that require human experience and attention.

Service robots as support in customer contact

Service robots service robots also open up new possibilities.

In fitness facilities, therapy centers, or larger healthcare facilities, recurring information, transport, or orientation tasks can arise.

Depending on the model used, robots can, for example:

  • Greet visitors
  • Provide information
  • Guide customers to specific areas
  • Transport small materials
  • Present digital content or offers
  • Take over recurring internal routes

Service robots are therefore particularly suitable for processes that occur regularly but do not necessarily require the personal expertise of an employee. Terra Robotics already uses such systems in various industries for visitor guidance, internal transport, and information tasks. Terra-Robotics

Personal care remains crucial.

Robotics should not take important conversations with customers or patients away from employees, but rather create more time for them.

Robotics in the health and therapy sector

This development is particularly interesting at the intersection of fitness, therapy, and healthcare.

Clinics, therapy centers, and medical facilities are also increasingly dealing with the question of which routine tasks can be automated.

Possible areas of application range from autonomous floor cleaning and internal material transport to visitor orientation.

On the Terra Robotics page for robotics in doctor's offices and clinics, for example, cleaning, patient greeting, and material transport are described as concrete fields of application. Terra-Robotics

In healthcare as well, service robots can support recurring tasks and thus keep personnel resources free for more complex activities. Terra-Robotics

Here in particular, however, careful process analysis is very important.

Not every activity is suitable for automation, and robotics must be reliably integrated into existing workflows.

Understand the process first, then choose the robot

A central theme in our conversations at fithera was therefore not the question:

"Which robot is the best?"

But rather:

"Which task should be solved?"

A sensible robotics solution always begins with a concrete challenge.

For example:

  • Cleaning ties up many working hours every day.
  • Employees regularly cover long internal distances.
  • Visitors frequently require the same information.
  • Personnel are kept from actual customer contact by simple routine tasks.
  • Certain tasks must also be completed outside of classic working hours.

Only then should it be examined which robotics solution is technically and economically suitable.

This is precisely why Terra Robotics works across manufacturers and combines consulting, hardware, implementation, and ongoing service.

The Unitree G1 makes humanoid robotics tangible

The humanoid Unitree G1 attracted special attention at fithera.

With its two-legged design and extensive sensor technology, it makes it immediately visible how much humanoid robotics has developed in recent years.

The G1 is particularly interesting as a platform for research, AI development, robot learning, and human-robot interaction. Terra Robotics describes it, among other things, as a development platform for perception, motion planning, and new humanoid applications. Terra-Robotics

Especially at events, such a platform creates an easy entry into an otherwise very technical topic.

Visitors can not only look at robotics in pictures or videos, but experience it directly and talk to experts about realistic application possibilities.

Two days full of exchange about the future of work

fithera 2026 showed that automation is no longer exclusively a topic for production halls or logistics centers.

Fitness studios, therapy facilities, and health companies are also concerned with the question of how technology can meaningfully support employees.

For Terra Robotics, the direct exchange was therefore the main focus.

Which activities cost unnecessarily much time today? Where are personnel resources lacking? Which processes repeat every day? And where can automation actually make a difference?

Exactly these questions lead to the robotics projects that create long-term added value.

Many thanks to all visitors, discussion partners, and the fithera 2026 team for two exciting days in Offenbach.
