The WORTMANN Group, comprising over 30 companies, looks back on a successful first half of 2025. Despite a continuing challenging global economic situation, the group achieved sales of over one billion euros in the first six months of the year. This success reflects a clear strategic focus, a broadly diversified business model, and the strong commitment of all employees – both domestically and internationally.

“We are proud to have once again achieved a more than solid result in a challenging market environment,” explains Siegbert Wortmann, founder and CEO of WORTMANN AG. “Our innovative strength, the flexibility of our corporate structure, and the close collaboration within the group have once again proven their worth.”

Key factors contributing to the strong half-year results, besides the company's overall resilience, include two specific market influences: Firstly, the impending end of support for Windows 10 in 2025 is driving significantly increased demand for new IT infrastructure. Secondly, the five-year period since the COVID-19 pandemic has led many businesses and private customers to upgrade the hardware they purchased during the pandemic. Both factors have contributed to a noticeable increase in IT sales – an effect that WORTMANN AG is able to leverage effectively thanks to its rapid delivery capabilities and broad product range.

The group also anticipates positive business performance for the full year 2025. After annual sales exceeded two billion euros in 2024, management expects to increase earnings again this year. This underscores the group's sustainable growth strategy.

As in previous years, the largest contribution to the half-year results came from the family-owned WORTMANN AG, with sales of around €520 million. Other companies within the group also recorded positive developments: BAB Distribution GmbH It generated around 100 million euros, Kosatec achieved a turnover of approximately 250 million euros. WORTMANN Telecom contributed 60 million euros, and MCD, a company specializing in medical IT solutions, achieved around 10 million euros.

The non-IT divisions of the WORTMANN Group also showed stability. With half-year sales exceeding €80 million, WORTMANN Leasing and Factoring, with a combined €10 million, and Westfalia Germany and Westfalia USA, with approximately €30 million each, contributed to this positive development. Other companies, such as W&K Gehäusebau, the construction company S+W Bau, TERRA Gebäudetechnik, TERRA Sports, and TERRA e-Sports GmbH, together generated sales of around €10 million.

A particular highlight of the first half of 2025 was once again the renowned TERRA WORTMANN OPEN grass-court tennis tournament in Halle/Westphalia. Since 2021, WORTMANN has not only been the title sponsor of Germany's largest grass-court tennis tournament, but also a shareholder in OWL Sport & Event GmbH, which includes the OWL Arena and the Court Hotel. Over 110,000 spectators and a top-class field of participants, including six players from the world's top 10 rankings, made the event one of the sporting highlights of the summer. Numerous companies within the WORTMANN Group used the event for high-level customer and partner relations.
