ElectronicPartner is expanding its robotics offensive into the German market. Together with Terra Robotics and the technology network comTeam, a strong sales, consulting, and service network is being created to bring professional robotics solutions closer to companies and their specific requirements.
The initial focus is on service and marketing robots for companies in retail, hospitality, healthcare, building cleaning, and office sectors. The goal is not merely to sell robots. The decisive factor is integrating robotics into existing processes in a way that truly unburdens employees and meaningfully supports operational workflows.
ElectronicPartner and Terra Robotics bring robotics to specialist retail
ElectronicPartner launched its robotics initiative in Austria and Switzerland in the spring of 2026. The expansion into the German market is now the next step. The foundation for this is the cooperation between ElectronicPartner, Terra Robotics, and the technology network comTeam.
Terra Robotics assumes the role of the technology and robotics specialist. In addition to a broad product portfolio, Terra Robotics contributes technical expertise, consulting, implementation, and experience from real-world robotics projects.
comTeam complements this expertise with IT infrastructure, software, and system integration. The technology network currently consists of around 800 partners who support business clients in the development and implementation of individual IT and communication solutions.
The affiliated specialist retailers of ElectronicPartner, in turn, provide their regional proximity and existing customer relationships. This creates a combination of robotics, IT expertise, consulting, and local service.
More time for the customer through intelligent robotics
Particularly in retail, employees spend a significant portion of their workday on repetitive tasks.
Customers look for products, need guidance in the store, have questions about promotions, or require assistance with simple service requests. Intelligent service robots can assist with exactly these types of recurring processes. The goal is not to replace personal advice, but to provide the sales team with more time for complex customer issues and personal support.
Depending on the robot model used, tasks such as the following can be supported:
- Greeting customers and providing initial information
- Showing the way to products or service areas
- Presenting promotions and offers via displays
- Displaying digital content and product information
- Taking over internal transport and service routes
- Automating recurring cleaning tasks
On the Terra Robotics page for robotics solutions in retail, these areas of application are already translated into concrete use cases. These include, among others, customer guidance, marketing at the point of sale, internal transport, and autonomous floor cleaning.
Service and marketing robots are the initial focus
In its current robotics offensive, ElectronicPartner is initially focusing on service and marketing robots. These systems can be used in various industries and can support existing teams with clearly defined routine tasks.
Applications in retail, hospitality, healthcare, office buildings, and cleaning companies are particularly relevant.
Service robots for recurring tasks
Service robots can, for example, transport materials, inform visitors, guide customers, or handle internal delivery routes.
Depending on the model, displays, voice functions, various transport surfaces, or closed compartments are available for this purpose. The deciding factor is always which task is to be automated and how the existing environment is structured.
Marketing robots at the point of sale
In stationary retail, robotics and digital customer communication can be combined.
Displays can show promotions, product information, QR codes, or notices, for example. At the same time, the robot can move to different areas of a sales floor, bringing digital communication directly to the customer.
Cleaning robots for predictable cleanliness
Autonomous cleaning robots are also a relevant business field for many specialist retailers.
They are suitable for sales floors, offices, hotels, gastronomy, healthcare, and larger commercial spaces, among others. Recurring cleaning routes can be automated, while the existing staff gains more time for other tasks.
Three areas of expertise for a complete robotics solution
The strength of the ElectronicPartner initiative lies particularly in the combination of different areas of expertise.
Terra Robotics provides robotics technology, products, and the necessary technical know-how for selection, implementation, and operation.
comTeam complements robotics projects with expertise in IT infrastructure, software, and system integration.
The specialist retailers of ElectronicPartner bring their regional market knowledge, consulting expertise, and existing customer relationships.
Other areas within the ElectronicPartner group are also being involved. MEDIMAX can make robotics solutions visible and tangible with its large-scale locations. Furthermore, members of WENDEpunkt are also expected to benefit from the new offers and marketing concepts.
This creates an approach where customers not only gain access to new technology but can benefit from consulting, IT expertise, implementation, and regional support.
Robotics as a new B2B business field for specialist retailers
For specialist retailers, professional robotics opens up an additional business field with a high proportion of consulting and service.
Many retailers already have long-standing relationships with companies in their region. They know their infrastructure, contact persons, and operational challenges. Robotics can therefore meaningfully complement existing customer relationships if the focus is not on the product, but on the concrete operational task.
For example, a customer does not simply need a "service robot." They want to reduce travel distances, keep their sales floor clean, better orient visitors, or unburden employees from repetitive activities.
It is precisely these requirements that must first be understood.
The Terra Robotics Partner Program therefore relies on structured onboarding, mandatory training, technical support, and project-related enablement. Partners are supported with model selection, quotes, demos, commissioning, and long-term customer support.
Training and roadshows prepare partners for the market
The implementation of the robotics offensive in Germany has already begun.
According to ElectronicPartner, initial webinars were held with a total of more than 100 participants. A more comprehensive training program is being developed in parallel. In addition, comTeam and Terra Robotics are planning a joint roadshow for members of the technology network.
The focus will be on product presentations, training, and concrete applications and business concepts for B2B sales.
This approach is particularly important because professional robotics requires explanation. Different spaces, travel routes, Wi-Fi infrastructures, tasks, and customer requirements mean that not every robot model is suitable for every business.
A successful introduction therefore begins with an analysis of the actual needs.
Robotics must create economic value
The crucial question for companies is not whether robotics is technologically impressive.
The crucial question is: Does it solve a real problem?
The benefit can arise, for example, through reduced travel distances, more predictable service processes, automated cleaning, or additional customer communication.
Profitability must still be assessed on an individual basis. Usage times, personnel costs, process frequency, investment costs, maintenance, and actual utilization influence the result.
With the ROI calculator for service and transport robots, companies can therefore calculate initial scenarios based on their own process data. Terra Robotics explicitly points out that actual savings depend on usage times, processes, travel routes, utilization, and individual conditions.
From a single robot to a scalable service network
ElectronicPartner is pursuing a long-term approach with the initiative.
After the start in Austria and Switzerland and the current expansion in Germany, further internationalization is already being considered. According to ElectronicPartner, the national subsidiary in the Netherlands is also preparing for its entry into the robotics topic.
This is gradually creating a cross-border network for sales, consulting, and service concerning professional robotics.
For Terra Robotics, this approach fits its own ambition of not only providing companies with robots but accompanying them from initial consultation through implementation to ongoing operation.
Robotics becomes successful when technology, process understanding, IT expertise, and reliable service come together.
